Welcome to Paula Karayel Photography, where I chase love and stop time for women, who's hearts are being pulled into the direction of their dreams.
Where am I from?
I live in a tiny town called Plamondon. Plamondon is a hamlet in Northern Alberta, Canada. We are a tight knit community with a multi cultural group of people within it. I love living here. It's the only place on earth where you are treated like family everywhere you go.
It's just me...the photographer
Hey, I'm Paula. :D Welcome to my website! I'm thrilled that you're here checking things out. I wouldn't be able to do what I love, if it wasn't for people like you. So let me just take a moment to say...thank you, I appreciate you, and you are #awesome!
I used to be incredibly shy, so putting myself out there kinda made me nauseous. I was never brave enough to go after anything, that is until I had the opportunity to start photography. I still remember my husbands words, "Go do what you love and we'll be here when you get home." So I did...and I did it literally hiding behind my camera. I had a battery pack so big that I could legit hide my entire face behind it. Looking back I can't help but laugh at the way God works to get us out of our shell. Photography has been more than just a job over the past eleven years, it's been God's way to shape me for who I am today. I'm no longer shy and I've grown to love people which has changed the way I view my business. With God's help and the creative side that He's given me, I look forward what lies ahead.
What should I expect from a session?
With my sessions I give it my all. I honestly don't know how to wing a session so I plan everything in advance. I'll begin with asking you questions in order to get to know you, so that I could photograph the truest version of who you are. Next I'll contact you to go over wardrobe details in order to gather information that will help me pair you with a location that compliments your colours, style and over all look.
The locations I choose are almost always more organic and somewhat woodsy. I absolutely love nature in all of it beauty. So expect to be photographed somewhere that's more natural.
I almost always photograph at the end of the day because I am obsessed with evening light. The warm tones and subtle light create moody and rich images that I just can't get enough of. So expect your session to be shot at the end of the day.
When your photos have been carefully edited to suit the genre of the session, I will email you a link to your Gallery where you will be able to view them and download them straight to your computer.
